Events Application & Planning Guide
Ararat Rural City boasts a rich calendar of events, and supports communities, groups and individuals to stage events.
All events held within the municipality need to be processed through Council's Events System.
For people new to arranging events, a comprehensive guide can be downloaded for viewing on screen or a hard copy ordered from the Ararat Visitor Information Centre.
Council requires an application form to be submitted at least two months before an event so that a full check can be made and where appropriate, Council facilities, work teams, outside contractors such as rubbish disposal and toilet cleaning can be booked.
Applications apply to all events - large and small - to both protect and ensure Council and the organisers have minimised any risk to people attending or volunteering at the event.
