Extension of time
Once a Planning Permit has been issued it is generally valid for two years, unless otherwise specified in the permit. Before the permit expires, or within three months after the permit has expired, you can request an extension of time.
With your request to extend reason should be given as to why the permit should be extended, what progress if any has been made on the project and much time you believe is required to conplete the project . Generally, extensions are given in 12 monthly increments.
