Strategic Planning
The purpose of Strategic Planning is:
- To monitor existing features and key planning issues and constraints and opportunities of the municipal area
- Review existing planning policies and the way in which they have or have not influenced the direction and appearance of the municipality
- Describe the desired direction towards which development should occur in the next 10 to 15 years, thus providing both the Council and the community with a consistent, planned approach to land use development within the municipality
- Outline the goals, policies and actions for Council to achieve the desired long-term vision
