Public Health is the primary focus of Council’s Environmental Health Unit.

Ararat Rural City’s Environmental Health Unit is committed to protect and promote the public health and wellbeing of all communities within the municipality through a range of services specifically designed to protect the environment and community.

Public and Environmental Health is the meeting point between environmental management and public health factors that may impact upon human health.

If you have any concerns regarding poor food handling, food adulteration or poisoning, issues of public health significance or would like further information please contact our Environmental Health Officer.
